Refugee Children Access to Education
Study about Refugee Children's Access to Education
Education is a basic right that restores hope and dignity in children driven from their homes. It is also an indispensable tool for integration, which empowers people to participate fully in their community and its political, economic, social, and cultural life. All children have a legal right to an education. But too often, children forced to flee their home end up missing out on schooling - a double blow with dire consequences for their future. Parents trying to shield their children from the horrors of war should not have to watch them grow up without an education. Recently SAM completed a study about Refugee Children Access to Education.
